shrimp tip

To those that have been in the hobby for a while, this posting is useless. However, I just wanted to give an fyi to the newbies, like myself. I bought a blood shrimp about 2 weeks ago. I came home today to find red pieces and antennae all over the tank. I immediately got upset and assumed someone had eaten my shrimp. After putting in food I saw him come running out. Just as an fyi, when they molt (shed their exoskeleton) they leave pieces of themselves throughout the tank. I saw the pieces and jumped to the wrong conclusion. Just something to keep in mind

all shrimp and crabs do this. Also, leave the old shell in the tank. it's good stuff for whatever is in the tank.
the invert may stay in hidding for a few days to protect itself.
