Hey,
My cleaner shrimp usually hang out in the same area, but as far as protecting territory, I don't think so. I also have a peppermint shrimp but the cleaners don't bother it.

The Coral Banded Shrimp can be a whole different story.
They seem to be agressive towards others.sometimes. :nervous:
"King of the Hill" one could say......
