Shrimp

Hey guys, I have a 42G FOWLR & LS. Right now Ive got a maroon clown, 2 emerald crabs, 20 redlegs, 20 bluelegs and 20 snails.
I want to get a cleaner and a coral banded are there any problems I should know about. It doesnt say anything in any of my books about keeping them together.
Any suggestions?

I would go with 2 cleaner shrimp, or 1 CBS unless you can find a mated pair. My personall preference is not to keep the two species together or it could cause some problems.

Do the coral banded latch on and clean the fish like cleaners do? I want something really eyecatching . . . and the banded are nice. But, I love the way the cleaners hang onto the fish.

The CBS have been known to clean fish from time to time.

CBS can also be pretty mean. the one at my LFS always grabs at a purple tang that floats by him
they also dont like other shrimp species as well

CBS's are a hit n' miss. I have two cleaners and a CBS in my tank. They get along fine. The CBS will chase the cleaners if they get to close to him. All three shrimp are the same size.
