I added a perc to my tank and if i stand at a distance he will come out and swimm around. But as soon as i get up close to the tank he scurries behind the lr and does not come out. i can go to the side of the tank and see him.. he will just stare me in the eye, but will not move! what the heck!!!lol anyone else have this problem? (For lack of a better word) I want him to swim around so i can enjoy him. And plus he wont eat when i feed him. He's been in for a few days now.

Gee, mine only do that when there's a camera in my hand. :D
Seriously though, is anything else in your tank scaring it? I don't know how you feed, but maybe try spreading the food out as much as possible, and back away.

Don't worry. I added a pair of clowns about 2 weeks ago. They were the same way for a while now they are out and about all the time.

I think it'll get used to you. Those damsels, be they little, can get pretty darn mean. Were you planning on keeping them?

I think about 4", but I'm not sure how fast they grow.
Has your clown been eating yet?

i havnt seen him eat. as he hides most of the time. I got a really good look at him, and he has little white spots. Possibly ich. But not sure. how do i treat him? his could be a sign of stress i suppose. But not sure why params are all ok

Ich will look like salt sprinkles. Stress from being harrassed by your other fish, maybe. Did you quarantine before you added him to your tank? If not, it's possible he brought it home from the LFS. Do you have a Q tank? Check out the sticky in the disease forum about setting up a Q tank and performing hyposalinity. Good luck. Hope he's OK. :)
