I bought a red coco worm from SWF about 2 months ago. He was doing well in our tank. All parameters are good. .Now all of a sudden he won't come out of his tube. He won't come out in the day or night. I haven't seen him out in about 3 days or so. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Several things could be going on.
Something else in the tank could be picking at him.
He could be growing a new crown.
He is simply staying in his tube for awhile.
Or it is dead.
Coco worms will sometimes not come out of there tubes for a week with no known reason.
What do you feed it?
When you test your water parameters in reference to a problem always include the exact numbers.

well I don't think its dead yet b/c I can when I look into the tube I can see him moving both closer and further away from the tube opening. I don't think anything would be picking on him b/c I have to coco worms and the other one seems to be doing just fine. But then again I don't watch it every second of the day or night.. :notsure: thanx for your help!! :joy:

I am having the same problem with mine. It kinda comes out, like sticking its crown out of the tube, and then goes back in. Nothing in my tank is picking on it. All my other corals are doing great. Water parameters are near perfect. I am just tid bit measuring phosphate, nothing serious. My other coco worm is happy as a clam. Any anwer or solution ever come your way? I would love to solve this guys problem.
Thanks

Finally. It is starting to show interest in displaying itself more. I can see the crown just inside the tube opening all the time. After not seeing any part of it at all for at least a week, I started to smell the tube for the smell of death. I actually thought it had left its tube and started living in my LR. I am glad I left the tube in the tank now. Any progress with yours? I just left mine alone, and it looks like it will be just fine. I wish I could give you more insight. GL

It is out in ALMOST full display. Continuously too. No reason why. Sorry. Funny hting though. The other has now decided to hide more often. They are not even close (as far as nanos go)-
