sick fish

i've got an sourious diesase prob.. i had 1 dog face puffer,2 turbo snails,porcupine puffer,green mountioun something,sand shifting star fish,and a amb.well it started out as ick and i started treatment with quick cure which killed star fish.my dog face puffer also died from what i thought was ick.then this new diesase poped up.the fish store sais he thought it was popeye.so i got maracyn-two and started treatment. day two one snail,and green mountion thing died.porcupine puffer has also got no better.what he has is his eye's are clouded and his body is kinda coated with something.any help would be nice.thanks

You have a bacterial infection spreading in your system. What is your water quality? Ammonia? Nitrites? Usually bacterial infections are caused by poor water or environmental conditions.
Address any environmental conditions that are not good and treat with a broad spectrum antibotic. Maintain optimum water quality. However, don't hold out for any big hopes. Bacteria infections are extremely difficult to resolve, and it already sounds like your tank has an epidemic. When treating tanks with antibotics you run risk of deterioating the natural biological filtration upon which your tank health is based, so be careful. Better to move the sick fish to a hospital tank and treat there.

i can set up hospital tank but how do i treat main tank and why would i want to hospitalize them rather than treat the tank and fish all together
