Sick Juvenile Mappa?

Today our mappa puffer has been acting very weird for him. We've had him for probably about six months. He was about the size of a quarter when we first got him and now he is roughly 2.5 inches or so. Today he's been sitting in a shaded area under the rocks and not swimming around like normal. He's never done this before. He also did not eat today. He appears to still have great coloring no fading from what I can tell and does not appear to be breathing heavy. Just kind of hanging out. He still appears alert and follows movement with his eyes.
My one thought is he is in our reef tank(don't ask my wife had to have it and he's been a model citizen) I'm wondering if he got stung or took a bite out of something he shouldnt and now has a belly ache. If he dies my wife is going to be crushed. Any advice? I'm trying to get him to eat. ( if he eats he should be fine is my theory) just no avail yet.

well I just fed the tank some marine cuisine and frozen plankton and it looks like he has someting in his mouth thats blackish in color. I'm wondering if he's got sometihng stuck in his teeth lol. he showed interest but didnt eat. he's still looking pretty chubby so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear that. Not sure it's the power heads fault. They should be able to swim away from them if there not already sick but, I did buy a new one myself.

uim not blaming it on the power head he's been able to avoid them before. I can just use it as an excuse to get a couple mp40s so why not.
