I have a 55 gallon with a goby, two clown, some hermits and peppermint shrimp. I lost two clowns to ick, treated my tank for 4 days after that (as stated on bottle) before putting in two more clowns. I also did a partial water change before I added my new fish. My water parameters are fine. BUT THE NEW CLOWNS HAVE GOT ICK AGAIN!!! I am so fed up. What could I be doing wrong? I am using Ick attack as treatment.

the first thing you need quaranty new fish before you put them in your main display this is the main part if you don't want to get ich,ick attack will not help the best thing to treat fish it's hypo treatment .
i suggest you to make a QT to move all your fish and to treat them with hypo to kill the ich. (after 4-6 week put them again in your main tank)
when you buy or get a new fish put him in the QT about 4 week before you put him in your main display.
keep good water parameter and you will be good to go.
one more other and important thing don't spend your money on this medication they 90% not work.

When my tank came down with the ich, no amount of medication helped. I lost all my fish. I let my tank run for about 2 months before I put any more fish back in. Ich has a life cycle (someone correct me if I'm wrong) of about 6 weeks. Since I have introduced my new fish (over 2 years ago) I haven't had a problem with ich.
