sick puffer

I have a poripine puffer, about 4 inches long. hes always been very healthy. i came to work this morniing, opened my office and feed the tank .he is a hearty eater ,and he never came out to eat .hes lying in the bottom of the tank still, not much movemen,t and seems to be breathing heavy , like hes gasping for air. His coloring is a little dark , but cant see anything else wrong . can anyone help me thanks George in mississippi

what are your water parameters? pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, salinity, temp? Can you post a pic of him?

all peramitiers are fine except nitrate was high did a water change this morning wish i could post pick hes laying in bottom and panting mouth open and he looks just a little puffed its like hes look like he cant breath
