A tang needs a very varied diet. Greens equally as much as meats, even though they are labeled herbivores. I've done it before I will do it again. I like this product. It's only 6 bucks and one cube lasts for 3 to 5 feedings depending on how many fish you have.
Even Petsmart carries it! In the fridge by the fish...yes they have a fridge by the fish, LOL.

Whats the best way to feed using a multi pack like that one? I have some similar ones, but I havn't had great success using them. I am proboly just using them incorectly.

I put the frozen cube in a scoop, similiar to the scoop you'd find in baby formula or powdered drinks, then I dip it into the tank, then drain it into the tank and dip and drain until about a third of the cube is gone. When I finish one cube I alternate to the next in line. But the anemone gets the squid, my fish have no interest in it.

You can also cut a third off, place it in a shotglass of aquarium water and when it thaws just dump it into the tank, with all the PH's turned off of course.

I have been thawing mine out using the water from the tank. The pack I have has varius greens. When I thaw the cube out and add the thawed mix to the tank the greens never seem to get eaten. The shrimp, krill, and misc other meat items alway do. The greens seem to be in very fine peaces, I guess its just how they are made.

Yep.. my Tang eats everything. I was just trying to stress that it needs Algaes. Sorry for any confusion.
I thaw frozen food in a plastic cup using tank water, then pour it into the tank. I leave all my powerheads on, though. The fish chase the food around and I feel it gets more evenly distributed this way. Of course, I don't have a sump, just a refugium. With a sump I could see the need to turn off the powerheads.

I just throw them in frozen in one tank, the other one I thaw it out first before feeding. In the other tank, they finish it within one minute. I thaw out in one of the tank cause the Naso is a picky feeder and once it's thaw out, I just toss it in, in small chunks. I usually cut all the frozen food in small chunks, depending how much they eat then put them in small containers back into the freezer, that way I just thaw out what I need to feed each time. :happyfish
