sick yellow tang?

hey yall! :jumping: i have a ? on my yellow tang, sunshine. we got him on june 9 and he's been normal. i just noticed tonight that the white spot (i guess thats what it is) near his tail is poofing on one side. there was one that was like that in the tank we got him from but they said that was from the others pickin on him, which we saw them do. while we do have 2 bullies in our tank, he's the biggest fish so they dont mess with him.
is he ok? or is there something wrong?

his tail is poofing? sometimes yellow tangs will have a white thing near there tail im not sure what it is but i think its okay. im not an expert though...

that little white spot your refering to is accually a razor barb used for protection.they slash their tails and with this barb littlerally cut their apponant.or hobbiest if hes mean enough. as for the problem at hand try dosing the tank with melafix it could be a simple case of cotton disease(fungal) .take a look in the disease forum for other possible diagnosis
