Hey you guys were helping me a while back just thought i would post some pics i took out about 14 to 15 of those lava rock ....and put about same amount of pounds but not as many rocks.... I still have to add more rock but this is what it looks like now....Tell me what you guys think ??? Good so far or what???

are those rocks stable? the one in the second picture on top looks like it can easily topple over.....otherwise if they are stable looks good

my bad ...i am assuming you used an epoxy or some kind of glue to hold it together.....

Yea i used epoxy ...yea its stable.. Thanks for looking out though.

why take out the lava rock?, i have about 15 lbs out of my 30 lbs of live/lava rock. after about a month and a half my lava turned live, and my coral banded shrimp and lawnmower blenny absolutly love it. its a real dark purple, and looks really nice.
and your rock formation looks nice btw

The reason i took my lava rock out was because i have had it for about 2 years and for some reason it seemed like it was crumpling away .... you can use lava rock ...it will grow coralline but i find it harder for it to grow on lava rock....thats JMO ....Thanks

That looks really good, it doesn't have the "brick wall" effect that some do (including me

Yea I have put another 5 lb peice in. I am slowly putting more... I want to get about 20 to 25 more lbs. I figure there is about 50lbs or more in there now.
