Silacone

Is there any kind of silicone, or putty I can get that is safe to use in a tank I can use without draining a tank. A friend has a leak in his overflow and wanted to try to fix it without draining the tank?

no not that i know of,silacone has to dry for a day to cure
also has to be aquarium silacone.what is the overflow made out of plastic???

It is made of acrylic, but I made the decision to drain the sump and do the work I needed to do.

IPS Weld on Products would be good for acrylic work.
