maybe zoas, palys, and mushrooms near the top of the tank.. That fixture really isn't powerful enough for that tall or wide of a tank.

im curious and ill ask you if you could help meh. how long will i cycle it for?...nothings gone up (nitrates, phos, amonia, nitrite) its all stayed in at 0
i used live rock that was in a container w/o lights full of aquarium water from my old tank
and also used the same sand but rinsed out and ontop of that bought 2 x 20lbs of live sand

Toss in a shrimp... that'll really show you if its cycled or not lol.. if ghost feeding didn't spike it and the shrimp doesn't spike ammonia then I guess its cycled lol.

well today i did my very first test
nitrates 0
nitrites 0
phosphate 0
amonia 0
i bought 20 lbs of live sand and alot of lbs of live rock and laced rock
im starting to grow algae in the sand and starting to gorw what looks like little long green plants? patches here and there ..all over my gost feeding ( food laying arround) theres little bugs eating the foos and on some pelets there are little smalllllllll worms on the food
i dont think the tank is cycled its only been up for about 1 week and a half maybe 2 weeks ...
could i be wrong and the tank is cycled?

Not cycled! Stop ghost feeding now! The pods and worms probably came in with either LR or sand you transfered over. The tank will slowly raise ammonia levels up then it will fall and nitrites will rise, then the nitrites will fall and finally the nitrates will rise. Once all that has happened the nitrates will come down somewhat. Your LR will develop bacteria that feeds on nitrate and if you have enough rock your nitrates will reach zero. You won't get that from the sand bed as it isn't deep enough. The stringy stuff on the old food is probably algae. After you have had ammonia and nitrite go up and fall to zero you can then add some clean up crew (CUC). Good luck & Merry Christmas!

i added some damself fish in there i know its been like what ?...3 days but nothings happened ...
theres alot of hair algea in there and it looks too brown now ...alot of brown on the sand too and coralias are covered in algea but i took them out to clean them today
ima wait patiently to c if its cycleing
onother thing i forgot to mention i threw in a dead fish in there and its gone something must have ate it and nothing spiked while it was there i threw it in because it died almost of starvatiion have no idea why it was so skiny that one day it just died in my bros tank
the crabs consumed most of it while they only left the flesh (no guts)
well thats the story

Your tank wasn't cycled You parameters are off. Dennis210 suggested that you slow down and let it cycle. I would agree. Unfortunatly the damsels will not help the situation. They produce waste. Waste comes out and numbers go up, unless your tank is cycled and has the necessary microfauna. Be patient and let you tank cycle. Follow Dennis210s advice.
