I'm starting another tank and have access to sand through my work. (golf course) My superintendent says it's a silica based sand. If I rinse it well, do you think this would work? It's beautiful white sand and I would love to use to- it's free! I have to cycle the tank, so I figure anything living in it will die before I'm ready to add anything.
