Can someone please help me... I am feeding my cream angel and tang some and others with silversides and angel 1, how do I feed this stuff? I cut the angel food up, and defrost in a cup of tank water, then I put it in, but in 5 secs the snails are ALL over it... the angel never gets to it.. and the silversides.. they even when I cut them up, same thing sink to the bottom and the snails get it....

ok maybe i can help you with this one.these fish dont normally eat silver slides as a normal diet .try a mixture of different foods you stated tang and angel so that means already you a herbavore and an omnivore(pos carnivore i dont do angels so im winging this part)chances are you feeding all 3 type anyways in your tank.no matter what the species is the diet in going to give will cover all of them.silverslides are for larger agrressive fish and obviously nothing in your tank besides your snails will eat them so dont bothing using them.
this is my DAILY feeding schedule for all types of fish(-larger agressives)
morning:
veggie flakes by omega one
mid day feeding:
thera+A non medicated antiparesitic formula pellets (i use large and small pellets)
pm feeding:
emerald entrese frozen cube(algae based with mysis)(omnivore&hebavore food)
mysis shrimp(carnivore&omnivore)
formula 2 frozen aglae cube (thawed and crumbled)(herbavore)
phlankton(carnivore and omnivore)
chopped squid(squid yum yums)ditto
chopped clams(yum yums)ditto
2 drops of garlic extreme all fish
place all in a cup of tank water and thaw with garlic
i also add selcon 2 times per week to to this mixture(all fish)
you dont have to add all ingredients every day to this diet if you find it easier to just mix and match by species requirements alternating the meaty foods until you know what they favor the most.I do buy large amounts of food more than most would
( please notice brine shimp is not on the menue it is the least nutrition if any for sw fish dont waste your money on it)
but i garentee no fish in your tank will go hungy or be malnurished with this diet.

ps i also use seaweed selects brown red and green a couple times a week as a treat for my tangs and foxface in between feedings
if you a 25% water change weekly this feeding schedule will not effect your water quality

I am still confused how I feed this frozen angel food.. its very spongy (I know its real sponges) so I chop it up a couple times, but as soon as it hits the bottom the snails get to it.. how can I get it so only the angel will eat it.. can i try to put it in a algea clip?

Squish it up with your finger into small bits. then when you place it in drop it in front of a powerhead......this will spread it around in the tank water.

may have to try a different angel food then......or add garlic to it and let it soak so the fish "smells" it sooner.
A clip might work, but I think it will just cut it in half.

I have seen clips with small mesh "pouches" that clip in to them. Never used one, but have seen them at the large chain LFS.
