silversides ?

how does everyone use these,do you thaw and serve them whole or chop them up..I am feeding 2-5in porks,7 in. panther grouper,14 in. snowflake..I usauly feed krill but its getting real messy and just trying something different...thanxs

It depends on the silversides. I've found a couple of different brands, and they very in size. The larger ones are 2-3 " and those I cut into 1" pieces. Every now & then I do get some that are only an inch long and those I just feed whole. Also you could vary the diet a little more by feeding frozen shrimp, scallops, & fish from the supermarket.

I thaw them in a shot glass filled with tank water, then cut them into 3 pieces, and drop em in. They're gone real quick.
I also take one piece, skewer it with a wooden skewer, and hold it for the Rhodactis mushroom...he closes over it quickly and eats the whole thing in about 20 minutes.
