THE ONE IN THE PHOTO IS ONE I'VE SEEN.I'M POSITIVE.THE STORE I BOUGHT FROM IS VERY REPUTABLE.NOW I DONT THINK I MENTIONED THIS ONE HAS WHISKERS/FEELERS AROUND HIS MOUTH.THEY SEEM 2 BREAK OFF ND GROW OVER AGAIN.THAT'S WHY I THOUGHT IT MIGHT B A MEMBER OF THE CATFISH FAMILY.ITS PROJECTED LENGTH IS 12-16 INCHES MAX

NEW2THEFIELD: What you're thinking of is also known as a Columbian Shark Catfish, a commomly kept freshwater fish that does better in brackish water and as adults do excellent in a saltwater aquarium. They will eat inverts and I would not consider them reef-safe in any way. Just my 2 cents. <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" /> :D

There are no known sharks with facial apendages besides Wobbegongs. All of them grow to a length much larger than 16 inches. I think I will have to go with Big Dave's post and say its a Columbian... There are many known fresh water fish to survive in saltwater as adults, this is as well true in the visa versa.
No white tip reef shark could survive in a 55 gallon tank for longer than 6-12 hours.
