Simple Fuge Question

Guess this is a dumb question- sorry.

I am adding an 8 gal, under-tank fuge (new live sand, LR & chaeto) to my BC29, which is well established w LR, LRR, Tunze skimmer, etc. Since the fuge will be new, will it cycle? I was wondering if I should look for an increased bio-load in the DT initially. Thank you very much.

To keep it from cycling as hard use water from the tank when you do a water change. No matter how cured LR is transporting it and putting it in a new system can cause it to have to recure to some extent. Do tests on the new refuge system before you circulate it through the main tank. If it needs to cycle a little put a small circulation pump in just it for a while.
