simple lighting question

I have spent the last couple of years in the hobby with a 75 g tank i just bought a used 150 but would like to upgrade the lighting . the tank is 72 inches long, my question is, is it better to buy three 24 inch setups two 36 inch or go for the single 72 lighting. I would like to get into corals and already have a chiller so heat isnt going to be an issue. i just want my tank to look as clear as it possibly can without the yellow tint in some of the lights i have seen in the past. suggestions anyone?

This is not a simple question

Depends with more bulbs you get more diversity in the light schedule but cost more to run. The yellow tint is from bulbs of about 6000k and below. Get 10000k or more and it will be more white to blue.

so two 36 inch lamps would be more cost effective than the three 24's right? isn't diversity in your lighting a good thing?

Get two 36inch T5HO fixtures with like 6bulbs each and you'll be able to REALLY fine tune bulbs and color AND grow anything.
