my kids think its cool when the cleaner shrimp cleans my hands and arm.
hey. got my goodies today. Thanks. didnt expect the shrooms. I dont have that kind.
Also, have you ever fraged a toadstool leather. I was given a huge one today, and i think i will cut it up. its like 10 inch across. Can i just cut about 2 inch off all around the edge, and leave the rest. ???

Yeah I fragged mine not long ago and the frag is doing great. I have pics of it somewhere.....
You can frag it just like you said :)

Speg, the lady who gave me the leather, and some zoos is a member of our local reef club. I kinda wondered why she was giving it away, instead of taking it to the lfs for credit, until i went to her house. oh my goodness. she has this huge house on the river, with direct access to the gulf. She had a 150 tank built into her cabnets between the kitchen and dining room. Just beautiful. She was telling me about her hippo tang that got sick, and she took it to the vet. so i guess she can afford to just give away corals.

By the way the mushrooms I sent you are tonga mushrooms. Not bullseyes though =c( Still a pretty neaty shroom... hope you like them.
Also I think I gave you a quite a few little pieces of starpolyps.. I hope they survive for you. It may take up to a week or so before they come out.. so dont panic =c)

Its so cool how shrimp will do that! I cant wait to get me a pair of cleaner shrimp, so I can get me a manicure too.

The thread I was referring to is from May of 2004. All the pictures are gone which would have been the most help.

There is actually a really good thread where someone shows step-by-step of cutting a fiji leather coral.. and they are much like toadstools when fragging them. It -should- still be around... it was pretty recent.

Hey TeresaQ1, can you give me any info on this local reef club your referring to? Im from Cape Coral too and I had no idea any such club exsisted! I like to know more about it....Thanks in advance. Drop an email if you dont mind.
