Simple Sump For 10g

HI, i have a 10gallon tank full of coral and was thinking of adding a sump/ref using those wal-mart hang on filters, here's my plans...
What i'm going to do is remove the u-tube looking thing that sucks up the water and change them for flexable tubing to remove water from sump and pour it in the display. doing the same for the sump

would it work?

I may be wrong but I don't think those cheapie pumps would be able to draw up the water and force it uphill.

check out hang on back refugiums, they are probably a better option for a 10 gallon

i was turning to those but denero flow is a problem and that things are expensive

yeah, I dont think that is going to work. the overflows depend on gravity. So going from your DT to your sump it would work, but the one going from your sump to your DT would not function as you are thinking. I would do exactly what you have set up, but just add a return pump instead. maybe look in the classified section here. YOu wouldnt need a big pump for such small tanks.
