Six line wrasse headaches...

I am a gambler when it comes to qt fish. Meaning I didnt always do it. A case of ich, that came via snail water getting into my tank has made me a bit more vigilant. That said, you have only a few fish and fairly hardy ones at that. I would say your wrasse is fine and probably just has a minor issue.
2nd sixlines can get aggressive as they age honestly is like a 50/50 chance. Mine was tiny when I got him and now has doubled in size and is plumb, but doesnt bother any fish. Clown, chromis, fire, purple pseudo, yellow watchman goby, pair of mandys and a pair of scooters. Varies shrimps, crabs and snails w no issues

every body has their different methods. i personaly qt all my fish. i used to not to but i paid th price of not qting my fish. ich broke out in my tank and i lost 4 fish, the only one who made it is my humu trigger who is also my first sw fish. ive had him for almost a year and he has only grown like 1/4''. any way i dont recoment taking the gamble. some people will never use a qt and have great success. but all it takes is one fish and your tank is done.

That is also a very good point! The white patch is still there, but a little bit smaller. Hopefully he will be ok, and you're absolutely right: if it's infectious, it's already in the tank. The clown and chromis have adapted very well, and they leave each other alone. I had two more chromis commit suicide by swimming into the overflow, even though it was sitting pretty high. They're the easy ones to find at night too! I must have sat there the other night w a flashlight for 30 mins looking for the wrasse, and my daughter was the one that spotted him in the coral with no flashlight at all! A very interesting fish though. He picks off the white spots on the back of the tank while grazing, which the snails won't touch. Spirobid worms I think?

Trigger40, how right you are! When I had the tank set up previously (years ago) I didn't quarantine my clown. He lived for a year and a half though before succumbing to his fate. I had a rock too precariously balanced and he wedged himself under it. I freed him but infection had already set in when I found him :(
