A fallow dt will kill off the brook iam just not sure how long. I believe its shorter than w ich.

I use a 20 for long term qt. mine is a standard 20 but if I were to do it over I'd use a 20 long. I am trying tank transfer to try to clear ich from a yellow tang that I have had in qt for 3 months. I'm using 10 gallons that are half full for that. He's had a rough ride and hides most of the time. He eats well, probably the only thing that has kept him alive.
The treatment your store gave you is for bacterial infections. Brook is a parasite. Formalin kills brook. It is possible that is one of the ingredients of the med. in which case it might work.

Wow. That is one tough fish haha.

And thanks for pointing out the difference with the treatments they provided. I'll have to check the ingredients to see, but I think I did and formalin is not listed.

Best of luck with your tang too! If he has lasted this long I hope he pulls through.
