Has anyone ever seen a sixline wrasse pick at hermit crrabs or other inverts out of curiosity. Becasue today i rounded up some nice blue legs at the lfs and when i got done acclimating them i put them in and the sixline was acting like he wanted to flip them over and eat them........ has anyone else had this problem or what have u not?

yup, have one, introduced 4 turbo snails, and 10 blue leg hermits. killed the 4 turbo's, hasn't messed with the hermits.put a small feather duster colony in tank. within a minute the wrasse pulled out a 3 inch bristleworm, within 24 hours the colony was almost picked clean, also harrased and killed 4 peppermint shrimp. nothing is safe . Mr punk 'ss wrasse is going to find his new home back at the LFS

Some do and some dont. I have 2 SLW and neither bothers my any of my decorative inverts. They dont even bother each other.

I have a Lunar Wrasse and he ate all my snails and 1/2 my crabs....most likely he will finish off the crabs but just hasn't gotten to them yet....
My question is w/ his track record does anyone think he will attack a sand sifting star???
I have been thinking the same thing as you dadummy...but he is such a cool colorful active fish it's tooo hard to send him away for lousy "store credit"

My sixline doesn't mess with anything...well almost anything. Only thing it picks at is the baby starfish. Once in awhile they will reproduce and I've seen it carry them around and eat them. Other than that everything else is fine.

I've had mine for over three years with no problems until about a week ago. He picks at my turbos, blue legs, nass snails and now my new BTA. He WAS one of my favorite fish, but now i feel he has to go. Really sucks, he has a great personality.

I had one for a long time and he never touched my invertebrates, but I fed every couple of days. If I went any longer, he looked a little hungrier...

definately a cool fish and hardy too, the sixline was our first fish and at one point our last fish. my wife really wants a mandarin fish, and as long as the wrasse is in, no way!. i bet there isn't one pod left in the tank. the fuge is full of them. the wrasse stays fat and is still a punk.
