Skilter is filling my tank with little bubbles

I just bought a Skilter 250 and installed it (man, these things are loud! But its better than paying a ton for a p skimmer (for me at least) Anyway, when I opened up the valve to get all of the little bubbles kicking in the skimmer they just flow right into the tank, making my tank look kinda foggy with bubbles. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Nope, you're doing nothing wrong. Skilters are very loud and do make tons of micro bubbles.

poop. will it still be effective if I only run the protein skimmer at night?

put an airstone and air pump on it. instead of the stupid induction thing. it's much quieter and efficient.
this procedure is mentioned in the owners manual FYI.
