Skimmer Advice ASAP!

Hey all, i am about to purchase a CPR bak pak skimmer from someone for $60, i am currently runnig a red sea prizm, do you think its worth just buying and replacing that skimmer or should i wait and just buy a remora.... please respond soon the person will be calling me for drop off soon!

also it may be awhile before i even have enough to get a remora, so i am strongly considering the bak pak does anyone have it and do you like it, is it easy to use, my tank is at another home of mine with my parents and they need something easy to use, the prizm is a task they dont really know what to do with it because of the constant adjust ments

I have a back pac. I am waiting to upgrade. The thing is huge hanging on the back. When it does fill, I have to tweak the little hose to get it to work better...it gets green yuck on the wall.
Not allot but enough to ruin the looks of my nice clean paint job that I did just before installing the tank 8 months ago.
As long as the one you have works. Stick with it and use your money on something you want, making do is just that. You do get what you pay for.

Dont do it...i had this same skimmer and it is very inconsistent....But i would say when it work it would pull out some really dark smelly stuff. Also it will overflow on you and put alot of micro bubbles in your tank... I would go with a HOB octopus...I have heard great thing about this skimmer.
