Skimmer Break-In Period

Just got an AquaC Remora hang on skimmer today. It's a bit noisy and makes a lot of microbubbles. I know that this will go away once it's broken in. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this skimmer and can give me an idea of the break-in period. It's on a 29 gallon tank with live rock and live sand, as well as four smallish fish.

Usually 2-3 weeks.
If you rinse it out well and scrub what you can using salt mix as an abrasive, you could speed it up a bit.

give it time and remember underwater epoxy, chlorine removers and some other stuff will make it go crazy

It shouldn't take a couple of weeks for a skimmer to break in. The only reason brand new skimmers don't skim right away is due to oil left over from the manufactoring process. No different when you stick you hand in your tank water and then the head on foam falls right away.
I just bought a brand new skimmer two weeks ago. I just let in run in vinegar water for a day to remove any remaining oil. Once I put it on my tank it was producing skimmate with in two hours.
