Skimmer Breakin Time

I just started up a new Sapphire Auatics BC29 Skimmer on my BioCube. How long should it be before I start seeing Skimate? After just one hour I'm already seeing a lot clearer tank.

each skimmer is different even within the same models. shouldnt be long though especially if its already clearing up the tank that means its pooling the proteins already once it gets so much in there it will start to push it up and out.

Thanks for the quick response. I was wondering where I need to set the amount of air coming in. Right now I tightened it all the way and then backed it off a turn and a half.

No problem
again each skimmer is completely different. I have 2 skimmers that are exactly the same one is wide open the other is almost all the way closed.
if it were me I would leave it where it is for a couple of days and look at the froth in the chamber if its kinda discolored or really frothy open it up some alitle bit at a time. this way you get the dryest foam possible out of the unit.
