In my 55 i'm currently running a AquaC Remora, but I'm upgrading to a 120 shortly. Can I continue running the Remora, or will it not be enough?
Thanks
Jim

The Remora will work on the 120, it will just be very under-powered for the tank. I would personally upgrade the skimmer if I were in your position.

I was afraid that you'd say that. I'll probably run the remora for a couple months after all of the supplies are purchased. I mean, c'mon, i can't have a new house, a new tank AND a new skimmer.
I think i can only pick 2 out of 3 ;)

You should be fine for awhile with the Remora on the 120, especially starting with the same sized bioload as your current 55.

You can also upgrade to a larger collection cup. Send me an email at idiot@c2i2.com and I will senbd you the link to the site. Also, you can get the drain attachment too.

so, is it the size of the collection cup that is hould be worried about?
I was thinking that it would be the throughput of the unit

Yes, that is most important but I find the larger cup a plus on my 110. I have the Remora Pro with a MAg 5 pump and larger cup.
