Skimmer friendly supplements?

Well, now I feel like an idiot. I totally became a jerk with Red Sea because my Prizm wouldn't stop dumping bubbles. Tonight I figured out that it was my supplement (SeaChem Calcium) that caused the skimmer to over react. Some of you probably read my rant about the Prizm. Red Sea even offered to give me a full store credit without the box or receipt. Boy, don't I feel bad <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" /> !

Now the question.
What does anybody with a Prizm use for supplements that doesn't mess with the skimmer? Also want to use Coral-Vite and Essential Elements from Kent. Will these do the same?

I haven't had calcium cause any problems with a skimmer. Other additives like reef plus, but not calcium.
I have had the problem with prizm skimmers and bubbles, which is why mine is run occasionally on a 10-gallon tank but nowhere near my 75. It was bought for my 55 on the recommendation of my LFS who I have known and trusted for years, and he has yet to hear the end of it.
If you are sure it is from the calcium, try adding smaller quantities multiple times a day to hit the required dosage, or use a doser to allow it to drip slowly.
P.S. On a side note, I saw a reference that you are/were in the military. Thank you and all of the others willing to make that commitment to the rest of us. It wasn't until my nephew was in the Navy that I understood just how much of a sacrifice and commitment it really is.

i'll bet its the reef plus also. that stuff always seems to come right out with the skimmer. i think the kent essential elements is okay on the skimmer. i use it, and don't notice it getting pulled out much, not like the seachem reef plus anyway.. jmo

Clarified. My first response acknowledged that. I use it too. The only time that my skimmer (Aqua C Remora) reacts to any additive is the Seachem Reef Plus. It does not cause bubbles from the skimmer to enter the tank, it simply increases the foam production.
Your complaint concerning the Prizm is not the only one. The topic could be at the top of the list of FAQs.
