skimmer/fuge/overflow?

Right now I have a 55gal sump w/ part of it a fuge and the other part is return and skimmer. I would like to make the whole 55gal a fuge and add on a rubbermade tote to house my skimmer. Is this possible? Any help or ideas? My overflow has (2) 1" drains so I could split the flow.

Going to add that I have plenty of room my sump is not in my stand.

What I did was to directly pipe the rubbermaid directly to the fuge, the water level will balance out that way. I have my return from my chiller feeding the sump and the discrepency between the water levels forces the sump to empty out via a 1" bulkhead x nozzle x 6" of 1" ID felxible tubing x nozzle x 1" bulkhead back to the fuge. The idea being that if I'm forced to pump through my chiller anyway, might as well use the output velocity for circulation. Hope this helps, if your not in a spot to drain and drill than the only thing I can think of would be another pump and overflow setup.
