Skimmer Help.

Ok i bought a used sealife systems skimmer and dont know how to use it..lol.well i have the instructions but dont understand them.. i can get it to work fine but with no bubbles..its says The air/water mixture is produced by the injection of air into the pump’s impeller cavity.. ?? how do i do that?

There should be an air hose or tube with a tiny ball valve to adjust the air bubbles in your skimmer. The more air the less bubbles coming into the collection cup, the less air the more bubbles. Adjust the water to the line just below the collection cup and then play with the ball valve until the bubbles are right at the bottom of the collection cup. One thing to note is that skimmers have a break-in time and it could be awhile before you see results. Good luck I hope I helped.

it did not come with a pump just the plain skimmer but i have a pump and air hose but i dont know how to get air to go in there.. i dont understan where the hose needs to go

Most good mfgs have very good tech support. There are so many brands & types of skimmers that most of us won't be familiar with what you have and the problem. Check the box, or Google and see if you can call tech support. I call various companies all the time and most are very helpful; if they aren't, I don't buy their stuff.

there should be a place to put an airhose on the intake side of the pump
