Skimmer IS LOUD

I finally got my seaclone 150 to work right... the problem is that it's too loud. I can't fall asleep with it on. It is louder then both of my emperior 400's
tank size = 135
i'd like to do away with one of my emperior 400's and get a nice hang on back protein skimmer.. What kind of skimmer is quiet??
i'm also running a fish only with a UV
Is this enough filtration? if i get a new protein skimmer and run 1 emperior 400?
Also i've thought about running a sump but i can't fit it through the cabnit... it only has a 10" opening. the tank is to heavy to move and there is only a 4" opening in the back just enough for HOB filters.. please any responses i'll take em

i was stuck in the position u are in right now (except with my 90) and the best way out is a sump...it would be well work to take the tank down to do it that is what i am doing tomorrow morning...? whats in the tank now?

Emperior angel fish
Sail fin tang
Blue tang
purple tang
pink tail trigger
niger trigger
dragon wrasse
marron clown

hmm well in about an hour im tearing down my tank to add the sump...is there any where u could put the fish for a few days while adding a sump....it will be weeeeellll worth your money to do a sump..if money is an problem then i would honestly leave the tank the way it is and save up for a nice in sump skimmer....u will be amazed with the results :yes:

if u get a sump you wouldnt need your emperror 400 or your skimmer you have now so that could go toward a sump......

With the bioload you have I would definatly put a sump since youur limited on space maybe the biggest wet/dry you can fit and a beckett or needlewheel skimmer. With all those big fish your gonna need a wet/dry for sure and a BIG skimmer IMO. Also there really no hang on back equipment that can handle your tanks filtration needs unless you get maybe 2 of those HOT wet/drys and a like $700 deltec HOT skimmer.:D
