Skimmer not working

By the way, it's hanging on the back, not in a sump.
So I recently acquired a coralife super skimmer rated for 65g, and assembled it by following the directions. I don't see an error. It's been roughly a week, and it should have broken in by now, but it's still not skimming. It's just water, no foam, no bubbles, no skimmate. What could be the problem? I'm clueless as to why it does not work. Thanks.

Make sure the air line tube is on the intake, not the output of the pump. Make sure the airline tube is not obstructed. Make sure their airline tube is not submerged in the water. There is a red adjustment knob on the output pipe of the skimmer... Once you get air to the pump, adjust the knob left or right to adjust the bubbles in the collar.
