Skimmer on a 10?

Should there be protienen skimmers on a 10 g? the reason that i'm asking this is because the guy at the LFS told me that it isn't nacecary is that true?

na you don't need one , water changes are all you need

Many say that one is not necessary, but if you have the ability to add one, I don't see why you wouldn't. It will still pull disgusting gunk out of your water, just as one would in a larger aquarium.

thanks lion_crazz it was a usefull thred. The tenth post pretty much summes everything up and makes me wish i started with a bigger tank. Also i don't have auto-top-off so keeping salinity is driving me crazy! (don't worry i'll visit DIY fourm)
