MSX skimmers are the best bang for the buck IMO but asm's and octo aren't to far behind. You may also want to post this in the equipment, lighting, &DIY forum.
I'd say go with the Remoras, it's simply amazing the amount of skimmate the little HOB pulls out, though it is pricey. Kind of like chillers, you get what you pay for. but like others have said its not nessecary, though it will help your tank alot!
