I have a "never used" EXCALIBER protein skimmer - hangon - that i'm having problems with.
I just hung it on the tank, and turned it on - and the water level is rising so highthat the bubbling is filling up the top canister in less than 5mins.
This is a new tank - i'm in day 6 of my first cycle. I seriously doubt it is skimmer this much protein out of the water, that you have to empty it every 3-5mins (heck, i'd be doing water changes at that rate).
Am i doing something wrong here?? It hangs over the tank, so i couldn't imagine there would be much to it. Anyone have an suggestions??
