Skimmer problems,Please help!!!!!!

I have a hang on back Berlin protein skimmer that I am at the end of my rope with.For no reason(I think)it will start blowing tiny bubbles into the tank.The skimmer will be working just fine then it starts with the bubbles.I make adjustments and it works fine then it starts again,adjust everything back to were I started and its fine for a while then here comes the bubbles again.Also goes crazy when I feed,Bubbles in the skimmer seems like it goes faster and cup fills right up with water.At present the skimmer is unplugged cause I just can't take it anymore.Skimmer has been working for about a month.Can someone please help me??This is my first saltwater tank and I don't want a disaster.

my skimmer also goes crazy when i feed (frozen foods... thought it was the garlic) i don't think it means there is anything wrong w/ your skimmer

Any kind of additives could cause this, including vitimins that you dose your food with.

I had read that about additives as well,only thing is I dont use any.Theese bubbles just don quit.I am at my wits end.
