skimmer problems

i have a hob skimmer. it was running with hardly any bubbles in tank, i unplugged it to do add red algea remover and when i plugged it back in there is millions of little bubbles and i have adjusted it and cant get them to go away? what should i do ? it has been running for several days with the bubbles i have heard in time they will go away but they are not?

did you do a series of massive water changes to remove the antibiotic first?
i think that stuff is bad for the beneficial bacteria in your tank.
