I just got my Remora and it recommends rinsing it with warm water, since I don't have a ready supply of warm saltwater, will it hurt to rinse in warm tap?

no it shouldn't as long as your just rinsing it

Nope. It won't hurt, like he said, just as long as all you are doing is rinsing it. I rinse mine with warm water every week or so to get all the muck out of the collection cup.
