Skimmer Question

So I am in the process of transferring everything from my 10 gallon to a new 30 gallon tank. My question is that I would like to get a skimmer but funds are tight with having to buy so much extra live rock and sand. I was looking at that infamous auction site and noticed that seaclone skimmers are fairly inexpensive on their. What is the feelings on the seaclone. If not that skimmer does anyone have any ideas on a decent skimmer I could pick up for a decent price. Thanks in advanced.

The SeaClones usually are not that great to buy. I recommend the CPR BakPak or the AQuaC Remora Skimmers. I have both and both work great!

You know, many people here dislike the seaclone. I have one on my 90 gallon reef tank, and it works great.
Do a search on protien skimmers and you will get plenty of opinions.

I have a Seaclone150 on my tank. Works great and has been for 6 months. You'll get negative reviews on this board but I think that's based on the volume they sell. For example people buy 1000 Seaclones you have 10 people complain. People buy 500 protein skimmers you get 5 or 6 people complain. Seaclones sell more because of price and therefore get more complaints.

Thanks for the input guys, still going to do a little more research before I decide on anything. Why did you dump your seaclone in the trash when your Urchin arrived traib.
Thanks
