Skimmer Question

I just recieved my Aqua C Remora Pro skimmer today with the mag 3 pump for my 90 galloon reef tank. After setting it up today, rinsing it out with warm water and all of that, I plugged it in and everything seemed to be going great. This was however until I realized that the foam was coming out crazy from the top of the collection cup and filling the cup up with water like crazy. Now I know that there is a break in period and everything, but I thought in the break in period there was hardly any foam or anything produced? My tank has but up an running for probably two years now. What could be causing this and is there any way to fix it? Should I just let it go and it will be better after the break in period??

My new skimmer took about a week and half to break in before it started working properly. I believe the instructions indicate to adjust the amount of air as needed.
