skimmer question.

Recomendations for equipment for my 35 gallon hexagonal tank. I am getting ready to start buying the equipment I'll need when I switch it over from a fresh. I need to get a skimmer, powerheads, heater. Lighting will be T-5's I know that much. The tank is 3ft deep by 20in straight to straight. 24in point to point. It will contain 70lbs LR, 35lbs LS. I would like to get the hardware a bit at a time so as to spend a lot all at once since I am waiting for the fresh water fish to die or be sold.

I'm not an expert but I would think about a p.h. that can be easily angled (the Koralia) so that it is not only going horizontally, especially with as deep as your tank is.

I am considering 2 ZooMed 226 Powersweep powerheads. Would they be good enough. One high one low faceing opposite directions to create opposing currents. Together they will move about 540 gph. Do hang on tank skimmers add any water flow? If so how much?
