Skimmer Question

Just wanted to no if anybody turns there skimmer off durining feedings? Is it a good idea or does it matter?

I dont. some people do. if anything is going to be shut down or cut back it should be circulation pumps. unless you have a HOB that sucks up all the food I see no reason to do so. sump skimmers even less so. most skimmers tend to lose their foam head and not function for a short period during and after feeding anyway.

I turn off a powerhead, but that's it. Skimmers should be left on all the time.
i never turn my protein skimmer off, or the powerhead's. my fish love chasing their food around before eating it!

so why not turn it off to advoid this?
