skimmer question

i have a prizm skimmer! i adjusted my skimmer to skim the dry bubbles out of my tank, but every time i put an additive in my tank the dry bubbles turn in to wet bubbles (over skimming). the additives are reef plus or plankton! my question is do i 1. turn off my skimmer and let the additive sit in my tank for awhile then turn it back on and adjust the flow. or 2. just adjust the flow to the skimmer! what do you guys do?

I used to have a Prizm and turned it off when I added stuff. Eventually I bought a new skimmer. I still turn it off. I didn't think the Prizm worked well.

Well, skimmers somehow sensetive to a change in water chemistry. I suggest you to turn off the skimmer for a several hours when you add your additives.
