Skimmer ?s

Hey guys,
I was messing with my skimmer last night and was cleaning it out. I have had my 75gal set up for about 5 months now. I used to have it adjusted to that it would take about 5-7 days to fill up about 3/4 of the way with stuff. Now last night I adjusted it and this morning it was full to the very top with a very fluid/light green liquid, in the past it was a dark green/brown and more solid/muddy stuff. Which way is better, which is doing the best job? the light green filled up fast, or the slow dark green/brown stuff?

You're probably getting to much water, and not enough air. You want the foam in the collection cup with as little water as possible.

that does make sense. Thanks for your imput. So u say the dark/green stuff would be better?
