skimmer too big???

is it possible for a skimmer to be too efficient for a tank? I have a 29 gal and just installed a AquaC Remora. This wouldn't be too much, would it?

It should be fine. I have a the same skimmer on a 30 G. with a Maxi-jet 1200. Really does an awesome job. LOL

The PH is the Maxi-jet. You can also use Rio's or Mag's.

sprieto- to use a powerhead to power a skimmer you need to have a adaptor that will allow a venturi to be hooked to it (basically air is sucked into the powerhead as well as water), inside the skimmer the water and bubbles mix and make the skimmer work. HTH

yeah, I have the MJ 1200 also. Installed it on Monday and is already producing green-brownish liquid. Put a lot of micro bubbles in the tank at fisrt but I guess this is normal.
