skimmer - Too much bubbles..

hey all..i just bought my JEBO 180 skimmer for my 30 gallon hex tank...but it is making too much bubbles in the tank..any suggestions on what i should do?thx in advance.

If its brand new, its just going threw a break in period. It should clear up in a coupple days, week tops.

the problem is..there is too much bubbles returning to the tank..will it settle in a few day's time?thx in advance...

You want the water to cascade into the tank. This helps airate the water and put oxygen in for the livestock.
As long as your not getting 'foam' floating back into the tank its no worth worrying about.

Your best chance at minimizing these air bubble problems is to attach a air regulator on the intake air, as the skimmer is new its going to foam like mad for the first week or so. With a regulator on the intake of air, you can calm this down until the unit breaks in.

I'd also suggest a in-line regulator....I know CPR hang-ons come with one....not sure about yours. They easily adjust to egulate the amount of air which in turn regulates the bubble production.....and as stated with a new skimmer there will be a break in period so the regulator will need to be adjusted as the skimmer breaks in.
