skimmer trouble

i am not getting any foam in my collection throat going to the collection cup, any ideas what is causing this?? the chamber is bubbling real well like it should, but the foam is not going up the throat of the collection cup

What brand/size skimmer?

How long have you had the skimmer? Did it ever used to work and just stop? Do you see any micro bubbles? Do you have your hands in the tank a lot (re-arranging the rock and such)?
I had a SeaClone 100 that only worked for the few couple of months. Now I have an AquaC Remora and it works great. HOWEVER, if I'm re-arranging the rock, feeding, or anything to disturb the water then I don't get much in my collection cup.

i have had the skimmer for about a year... it was working earlier today.... i do have some micro bubbles coming out of my output nozzle but thats normal. i have not rearranged any rock or had my hands in the tank... i did feed some frozen formula II soaked in selcon this afternoon....

If it was working earlier today then I wouldn't worry about it. They say that the skimmers will not work if you feed (or disrupt the water in any way) for a few hours. I would recommend taking the skimmer out and cleaning it really good. Good luck.
